Four picnic tables were installed at the Alamar reserve with assistance from grants from KDC and the Lloyd Morgan Lions Clubs Charitable Trust.

Aluminium Can Recycling Project

This is an on-going project, recycling cage is situated in the northern carpark at MAZ.  Profits from recycling are donated back to MAZ to assist with Park upkeep costs.  To date we are recycling around 150kg of aluminium cans per month.

Asparagus Fern Eradication Project

This is an on-going project with the Weed action Group/ Piroa Trust  within the Mangawhai Community Park, meeting each Monday 10.30-12.00 to remove asparagus fern that is choking the native trees and plants in the park.

Marsden | Waipu| Mangawhai combined dinner

Marsden, Waipu and Mangawhai Lions Clubs enjoyed a combined dinner in Ruakaka to hear District Governor Dave Thompson give his message and the International Presidents theme.

Lions International Convention 2024
Melbourne

Eric, Karen, Clive and Mandy attended the 106th Lions International Convention in Melbourne this June.

12,500 Lions from 194 countries attended the convention, held over 5 days.  New friendships formed, ideas shared and enthusiasm for for the future of volunteering and the way in which we can change the World for good.
